Stewart International Airport - 35 minutes south of the wedding venue
The closest airport to the wedding venue is New York Stewart International Airport. Even though it flaunts "international" in the name, it's a bit small. Times may be inconvenient and fares may be more expensive than other options. But then again, you may luck out and it may work perfect for you! However, if you’re planning on going to New York City, this may not be your best bet as it is about an hour and a half away.
Albany Airport - 1 hour 20 minutes north of wedding venue
Much larger and more convenient than Stewart. If you plan on spending time upstate or with Nadia’s Mom’s family, this may be the airport for you. However, this airport is about 3 hours from New York City. Definitely not where you want to fly in or out of if you plan to spend time in New York City
Newark Airport - 1 hour 40 minutes south of wedding venue
Lots of flights and convenient for those wishing to visit New York City. However, it is in New Jersey so public transit to the city will be more expensive than one of the other NYC airports. Also, depending on where you’re heading to in the city, the commute from here may have you running away. If you’re heading to Manhattan or the Bronx, you’ll be fine. For Queens or Brooklyn, keep reading
La Guardia - 1 hour 40 minutes minutes south of wedding venue
Also lots of flights and close to NYC. Unless you are heading to queens or somewhere close in Manhattan, this airport is just awful to get to. Not highly recommended
JFK - 2 hours south of wedding venue
If you’re heading to visit Shumon and Nadia in Brooklyn, this is your airport. It is far from the venue though so not your airport if you’re heading straight to the wedding
***Please reach out to either Shumon or Nadia when you are planning your travel if you have any questions about where to fly into. We are both very familiar with the area and can save you some hassles :)
